Welcome back to after school!
The Boys & Girls Club is the place to be! Look for awesome activities including hands-on science and history, creative outlets, nutritious snacks, community partnerships, mentoring with Black Hills State University students, fitness and FUN. The Boys & Girls Club is a supportive, accepting environment open to all community youth. We can't wait to see you at the Club!
We're open for kindergarten transition! Regular hours are 3:00-7:00 p.m.

Who: Any student in grades K-12
What: Dynamic after school and summer programs that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, the arts, character and leadership and more.
When: Monday – Friday, 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Open early release, in-service, and select holidays. See our Club calendar for details!
Where: The Club! 845 Miners Ave, Lead (Main floor, Handley Recreation Center)
Cost: $25 annual membership fee, $25 per month for June, July, and August. Scholarships available.

Club Programs
The Arts – From painting an epic mural on our retaining wall and clinics with professional artists to guitar lessons and community choirs, this Club rocks the arts!
Triple Play – More than just sports club. At Triple Play, we work our bodies, our minds, and our souls. We focus on sportsmanship, positive attitudes, improving our selves and each other. Whether we are playing volleyball, running on the track or having a potato sack race, we’re in it together.
Gastronomy Blitz – Cooking club at its finest! With a grant from South Dakota State University, cooking club has gone HEALTHY and gourmet. Look for classes specifically for teens, kitchen skills orientation, creating a balanced meal and an awesome partnership with Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital. Yum!
Science Spectacular – Baking soda volcanoes! Fingerprinting! Animal Habitats! Amazing Weather! The possibilities are endless. Join us as we explore new territory with STEM.
Elks Golf Team – Thanks to a fantastic partnership with the Deadwood Elks Lodge and Tomahawk Country Club, we hit the driving range twice a week during the summer. Tee off your great future with us.
Archery – Work with National Archery in the Schools Program certified instructors to learn safety, skill and technique right here at the Club.
HPC's History Club - Let's dig in to our history! Join us as we explore the past in Lead-Deadwood with field trips, museum visits, archaeology, cooking, art and more! Thanks to a grant from Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, we're bringing the past to life at the Club.
Trips for Kids: Lead-Deadwood -Hit the trail after school with our Trips for Kids mountain bike rides! Ride 2-15 miles on the Mickelson Trail with Club staff. Learn bike maintenance and safety. Get healthy, and have fun! Bikes, helmets, and safety shirts provided. Look for new bikes and helmets thanks to the Foundation for Health in Lead-Deadwood!
Club 5 – Homework Help: 5 days a week, at 4:00 p.m. Work with tutors from Black Hills State University, Club staff and high school volunteers to get your homework done well, on time and in full. Join BHSU mentors for extra help this semester. Earn points toward a mega-prize!
Talking Hands Sign Language Club - Join students from BHSU's Talking Hands for lessons in sign language. Learn everyday signs, songs and perform at local events!
